IEBC Allegedly Set To Announce The Presidential Winner Today

Today morning the Bomas of Kenya staff were seen clearing the floor of the Bomas of Kenya amphitheater for today's possible presidential results announcements.

The 9th August election has seen many twists and turns especially in the transmission of votes from the polling stations

This year, the elections have been transmitted through images from polling stations to sub-county tallying centers, county tallying centers and eventually to the Bomas of Kenya.

Today, the IEBC chairman, Mr. Wafula Chebukati is set to announce the closely contested presidential results.

All indications show that Raila and Ruto are the leading presidential candidates.

According to the Kenyan constitutions, presidential results must be announced within 7 weeks after end of voting.

Today all eyes are on Chebukati as he announces whether it will be a Raila or Ruto presidency.

The IEBC opened its portal to the public something which is new to the election process. The opening of the IEBC portal was meant to enhance transparency and openness among all candidates and the public.

Kenyans are eagerly waiting for the public announcement of the President elect and his running mate at the Bomas of Kenya
