Former Kieni Member of Parliament Honourable Kanini Kega, has now made stunning allegations after comparing the Luhya Community to the Mt Kenya Community.
In a statement via Nation on Twitter, Kega, who is also an East African Legislative Assembly (EALA) MP-Elect, said that when Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi brings the entire Luhya Community together, the move is regarded as a unity of purpose. But when the leaders from Mt Kenya meet, the move is seen as plan to woo all politicians into President William Ruto's camp.
According to Kega, just like the Luhya Community, Mt Kenya are not conducting meetings based on political reasons but on the interests of the people of Central Kenya.
"Chief Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi brought the entire Luhya nation together and that was regarded as unity of purpose. But when leaders from the mountain meet, that is perceived with a lot of suspicion. We are not meeting for political reasons but for the best interests of the people of Mt Kenya," said Kega.
