"We Shall Continue Where We Left Off" —Kabogo Promises Kiambu Voters

Former Kiambu Governor William Gitau Kabogo has told Kiambu residents that he will pick up his development agenda for the county right where he left off.

William Kabogo has undergone a great transformation under Tujibebe Wakenya Party.

Kabogo has been critical of the development agenda of Kiambu County which has been led by two governors in one term. Following the impeachment of underperforming Ferdinand Waititu, his deputy James Nyoro took over.

According to Kabogo, both leaders have shown little or no new initiative, merely building on his blueprints.

Kabogo has joined the majority of Governors in supporting Raila's presidential bid under Azimio la Umoja.

Billionaire Kabogo was known to spur fast industrial development with a view of joining Kiambu to the Nairobi metropolis. Kabogo also entrenched local dairy, tea, and coffee production as leading revenue earners in the country.

How Waititu beat Kabogo at the ballot with a landslide remains a mystery. Waititu garnered 353,604 votes, against Kabogo's 69,916 votes.

Ferdinand Waititu was a political joker whose tenure as Governor of Kiambu was marred by rampant embezzlement of public funds.

William Kabogo with his Tujibebe Wakenya Party has done magnificent rebranding and stands a good chance of reclaiming the seat and continuing from where he left off.
