Speaker Wetangula Causes Laughter In Parliament After Using "Hot Air" Term During The EALA Voting.

Today, there was a moment of amusement in the National Assembly after Speaker Wetangula recalled the harsh language used by CJ Koome during the dismissal of the presidential petition.

According to the uploaded video, the MPs were voting on candidates for the East Africa Legislative Assembly (EALA) when he ordered the ballot boxes to be unsealed to ensure that the voting would be free and fair. When he stated that there would be no tolerance for hot air and opaqueness in the EALA voting process, he elicited chuckles.

"Are members happy that they are empty?" "Excellent, set them down; there is no room for hot air or obscurity here," remarked Speaker Wetangula as members laughed and applauded.
