The president has said the vaccine consignment that Kenya received on Tuesday night has just marked the start of receiving more of the jabs.
Furthermore, President Uhuru has issued a control measure update, urging Kenyans to continue following the laid down guideless.
He said the should not be blind-folded with the arrival of the vaccine and abandon control measures, adding that the country is still battling with the deadly virus.
"Lazma tuendele kujikinga na huu ugonjwa, kuvaa barakoa,kusafisha mikono na kadhalika kwa sababu ugonjwa hujaondoka bado (We must keep on taking care of ourselves against this virus, let us put on the face masks, wash our hands and other measures because this disease has not left the country)," President Uhuru Kenyatta said.
President Uhuru Kenyatta has confirmed that health workers are the priority, thereafter police will be vaccinated then, teachers.
On Wednesday, it was alleged that politicians were to be vaccinated first before health workers.
