Political analyst Ambrose Weda, has revealed out the huge political blunder which the Kenya African National Union (KANU) party Chairman Senator Gideon Moi, has done and is continuing to do which is working on his disadvantage ahead of 2022 general elections as a presidential aspirant.
Speaking on an interview with KTN news television, Weda said the Senator Gideon Moi is not a bad leader and he has no corruption scandal or any other illegal things which can make him unsuitable to lead the country, but he has only made one biggest political blunder which has placed him miles behind the Deputy President Dr William Ruto in his backyard.
He has refused to act smart like other top politicians by rebranding KANU party, by either changing its name and colours in order to make more Kenyans rejoin the party even outside his backyard. This is because most Kenyans hated KANU due to its oppressive rule during the reign of President Daniel Arap Moi.
"Gideon is a good and clean man, he has not stolen or involved in any scandal or any other criminal activities. But he has refused to rebrand KANU, he has money yes and he is a good Businessman but his biggest mistake which has even made the Chief Chicken Seller (DP Ruto) to outsmart him even in his home ground, is the failure to rebrand KANU most people are still fearing KANU. He should should change it completely by coming up with another name or change colours do away with Jogoo and even come up with an eagle." He argued.
