DP William Ruto Holds a High Profile Meeting With Former CBK Governor (Photos)

Deputy president William Ruto has held a high profile meeting with former Central Bank of Kenya Governor Professor Njuguna Ndun'gu at his official Karen residence in Nairobi.

"Held talks with former CBK Governor Prof. Njuguna Ndung'u, who pledged to help develop the new economic model through the African Economic Research Consortium, Karen, Nairobi County."Second in command DP William Ruto.

In the meeting, the deputy president noted that the meeting was all about the global economic demands in the country at a time when the economy has been ravaged by the negative impacts of the novel Corona virus pandemic.

He has also noted that the growth of the country will be depended on new thinkers as well as bold ideas by including Kenyans in the growth of the country.

"The state of the global economy demands new thinking, bold ideas and fresh paradigms. We must include more Kenyans in the growth of our country. This is why we are proposing a bottom-up approach to develop the economy."Deputy President William Ruto.

According to the principal assistant to the Head of State president Uhuru Kenyatta, by including all stakeholders, more resources will be invested mostly in the grassroots and will ultimately lead to more tax base.

"This approach will ensure more resources are invested in the grassroots, greater economic participation and an expansion of the tax base.It is gratifying to see economic experts endorsing this approach and expressing willingness to partner with us to actualize this revolution."Deputy President William Ruto noted.
