Cleaning Underway As Tallying Ends At Bomas

At the national tallying center in Bomas, Kenya, the tables that were once completely filled with people and used by officials to count and check results can now be seen to be empty, signaling the completion of the process.

On Monday, after the five-day verification of results forms was completed, the Commission was anticipated to announce the results of the polls that were held on August 9.

As Kenyans wait for the results of the presidential election, the area has been swamped with a large number of police personnel to provide the highest possible level of protection.

By 9 a.m., all of the seats within the auditorium, including those in the Azimio and Kenya Kwanza sections, had been taken.

The presence of foreign envoys and diplomats as early as 8.30 in the morning is indicative of a probable statement taking place today.

In addition to this, there is a considerable presence of security personnel at the auditorium, as well as in the areas immediately surrounding it and at the main entrance.

Kenya Kwanza and Azimio are both there at the location, where they are anticipating the momentous statement that will be made by the chair of the IEBC, Wafula Chebukati.
