National Police Service Commission (NPSC) is currently under the leadership of Hillary Mutyambai who is the Inspector General of police. The police officers play key roles in the country such as maintaining law and order, promoting safety on our roads and confining suspected criminals.
It's bad news to Kenyans who attained Kcse mean grade of C+ and above and are willing to join the police service commission following the remarks of Mr. Charles Owino who is the police spokesman saying that the government will focus on candidates who attained mean grade of D (plain) to C (plain).
Speaking to Citizen television during an interview, Owino claimed that the police officers who attained grade C+ and above, once they get recruited, they go back to colleges and universities,Al attain degrees and come back asking for promotions and salary increment.
In conclusion, Owino's remarks come barely one week after Interior Coordination CS Fred Matiang'i has requested the national police service commission to increase the academic qualifications from D (plain) to better grades.
