Following a meeting in Karen between DP William Ruto and several Jubilee MPs, there have been speculations about what happened in the meeting. This is after several MPs withdrew their funding to Jubilee Party and channeled the money to Kazi ni Kazi welfare. Emerging information indicates that the move had been endorsed by DP Ruto and the money will be used to fund their new party.
Speaking in an exclusive interview this morning with Chamgei FM, Belgut MP Nelson Koech said that DP Ruto told them in the meeting that Jubilee Party had come a long way but it was sad that they now have to leave it. This is after several intimidations to Ruto allied Jubilee members.
“Deputy President alituambia jana penye tumetoka na chama cha Jubilee ni mbali. Na hata kama hatukua tunahisi kuenda mahali itabidi,” he stated in Kalenjin dialect.
He also said that the move to withdraw their funding to the party is a plot to completely finish Jubilee as per their promise that they are not going to leave it the way it is. Hon. Nelson Koech also said that there was a plot to stop all projects in Rift Valley in order to disadvantage William Ruto during the 2022 campaigns.
