Good News Concerning The Education Calendar And Reopening Of Schools

After long time of panic, parents can now plan for their children to reopen schools. Parents had wondered for long on wether children were to go back to school or not. This came following series of mixed reactions, when president Uhuru Kenyatta had initially issued a directive ordering all schools to be closed due to Covid-19. Parent's doubts have been cleared following the announcement by the Cabinet Secretary for Education Professor George Magoha. The Cabinet secretary has reassured parents and learners that the education calendar will still go as planned.

This therefore schools are bound to reopen on 19th May 2021 for third term as planned. Parents are advised to plan on how they will pay school fees as well as personal effects for their children.

Though it is good news for parents with continuing students and pupils, on the other hand is bad news for parents of pupils who did their KCPE exams as they will have to stay home with their children longer before they join form one.
