Odinga was accompanied by several leaders in the region including Kanini Kega, Meru Governor Kiraitu Murungi and Agriculture Cabinet Secretary Peter Munya amongst other.
However, Murang’a County Women representative Sabina Chege didn’t attend the meeting. According to her, she says, yesterday she celebrated Mashujaa with John Mwangi Karanja from Mbari ya Muya village, Kanyenyaini ward in Kanjoma Constituency.
She went ahead and said, John Mwangi Karanja and his mum have been under the care of the community who went to an extent mile of putting a decent habitable house.
She further says despite his humble background, Mwangi has been hailed by his church members and the villagers as an outgoing man, very discpline and hardworking.
She finishes by saying that she has resolved that she will celebrate an outstanding person in every Sub-county within Murang’a County. The person shall be the ‘shujaa’ who she tell they shall celebrate in a special way.
