Constituency by-election has Unfolded sharp divisions that were playing out during the campaign period as a section of United Democratic Alliance (UDA)leaders accused the immediate Former Kandara member of parliament Alex and the cabinet secretary of plotting the downfall of Chege and Njuguna her political Nemesis in the past elections in Kandara constituency.

However, Chege emerged as the winner in the by-election on a UDA ticket after decamping from the 'Chama chakazi' military with intrigues.
Njuguna won the election by 21 650 votes Titus buchu of the (FORD ASILI) party came in second Gathering 14 678 votes while (USAWA KWA WOTE) Party candidate( PMG) Junior got 1469 votes.
A low voter turnout characterized the Thursday elections in the constituency which has 105 248 registered voters with a turnout of 33.5 registered voters.
The win for Chege has however brought to the four the underlying differences within the UDA party campaigns in kandara.
Elgeyo Marakwet By-Elections.
UDA party has retained the Elgeyo Marakwet County senatorial seat after its candidate William kipsang fought off stiff challenge a stiff Challenge from (PPDs) Team Kipchumba to emerge Victorious.
Kipsang was declared the winner after garnering 41 378 votes while Kipchumba came in second with 38 151 votes declared the winner of the senatorial election.
It was a sweet and hard-fought victory for UDA candidate William kipsang when he was eventually declared Senator-elect for Elgeyo Marakwet County by the returning officer Charles mutai.
He has faced a must-win political contest with those who buried his political career having lost his Marakwet West parliamentary seat in August 2022 to an independent candidate.
