A former lawmaker said today that she recently had to get out of her comfort zone and talk to President William Ruto as she was leaving an event. When Cate Waruguru saw President William Ruto getting ready to leave in a helicopter, she saw a chance.

She got up quickly and walked toward the helicopter so she could talk to the head of state.

Waruguru is one of the UDA lawmakers who are still not working for the government because they lost the last general election.

Waruguru really wanted the president to give her a CS post as a reward, but she didn't get either one.

She posted a message on social media today, telling her fans that it's always best to take advantage of opportunities and not wait for them, just like she did when she talked to the President.

"Opportunities don't happen; you make them." It's never too late to be what could have been.
"Attitude of a Winning Woman" It's hard to beat a woman who doesn't give up. She wrote, "Keep shining."
