Today Member of Parliament of Maragua Hon Mary Wamaua has officially decamped ruling Jubilee Party and joined United Democratic Alliance which is affiliated to deputy president Dr William Ruto. Hon Mary Wamaua is now the latest legislators from the vote rich mountain Kenya region to defect from Kieleweke faction of Jubilee part to Ruto's UDA.
This is big win to Deputy president Dr William Ruto who is keen to succeed president Uhuru Kenyatta who is serving his second and final term as president of Kenya. However it is a massive blow to president Uhuru Kenyatta who has been calling for unity in the mountain ahead of next year poll. This comes barely days to much anticipated Jubilee National Delegate Conference.
