Ruto To Kick Out Violent UDA Aspirants

Deputy President William Ruto has said he will kick out UDA wannabes who cause chaos over party nominations.

Addressing all UDA party aspirants from the coastal region, the DP noted that there will be an automatic disqualification of aspirants found using violence to suppress their competitors.

“Any candidate who uses violence in the UDA will be disqualified, violence should never be part of the equation in the UDA,” said Ruto.

In order to ensure that young people occupy positions in the party, DP Ruto has indicated that he will ensure that party appointments are free and fair.

During his tour of Kilifi County, the country's second in command told his opponents that the UDA was a party to beat. He asserted that the UDA is a national people-centered vessel whose primary goal is to transform the lives of ordinary citizens.

He said his political opponents wanted to change the constitution only for their own selfish gains.

Ruto also urged President Uhuru Kenyatta to lift the extended dawn-to-dusk curfew nationwide. He noted that the curfew was hurting the country's economic affairs.

He also urged the president to ensure that everyone is vaccinated against the coronavirus to allow them to perform their duties normally without fear of contracting the virus.
