Former Governor Ndiritu Muriithi Speaks About Azimio Rallies, Sends Message to Ruto

Among the political figures in the Azimio La Umoja One Kenya Alliance present at the camp's "consultative forum," which was organized by Raila Odinga and Martha Karua as Kamukunji Ground, is former governor of Laikipia Ndiritu Muriithi.

Muriithi argued in his speech that while the Azimio leaders had no desire to criticize or draw attention to the shortcomings of President William Ruto's administration, they were forced to do so because he had failed to follow through on his campaign promises and agenda.

"It was not our intention to begin criticizing this government; we had decided to give them 100 days because they had promised to lower living expenses, unga and fuel prices within that timeframe, but such commodities have been seeing price increases."

"In addition to Linda Mama, they had halted CDF and social protection. In order to remind them that the sovereign power belongs to the people, that is why we are present here today."

Ruto and his cabinet were further admonished by Ndiritu to stop whining and instead deliver for Kenyans, who are currently in power. In particular, Ndiritu urged them to see to it that the cost of living falls to make life more bearable for Kenyans.
