Deputy President William Ruto has continued with his Central Kenya tour together with his running mate, Rigathi Gachagua. On Monday, the duo toured Kigumo and Mathioya Constituencies in Murang'a County where they were received by huge crowds. This is thanks to the vocal DP Ruto's allies who hail from this part of Central Kenya

A good example is Irungu Nyakera who will be contesting for the Murang'a Gubernatorial seat. Nyakera entered into Kenya Kwanza Alliance through his Farmer's Party and was part of the 12 member group which signed the Kenya Kwanza Coalition act thus he has remained close to DP Ruto ever since
After the rally, the former Principal Secretary has praised DP Ruto for how he is loved by Murang'a residents ahead of the August elections. This is based of the warm reception Ruto received from the area residents. The former Government official has also confessed that the Murang'a people have vowed to vote for Ruto come August
