Deputy president William Ruto's Running mate Rigathi Gachagua, has come out to dismiss latest opinion polls that have been placing their rival former prime minister Raila Odinga ahead of them.
Gachagua in an exclusive interview with a local daily has asked their supporters to ignore such polls arguing that they are bias and are not a true representation of what is in the ground.
He laughed off at the reports that Raila has been gaining popularity in the Mount Kenya region arguing that he is a resident of the region and nothing has changed over the last few months

He added that Raila's popularity in the Mount Kenya region is below 20% despite his choice of former Gichugu constituency member of Parliament Hon Martha Karua as his running mate.
The Mathira constituency member of Parliament further predicted that they will get 60% of the total votes cast in the August polls.
