Addressing a section of leadership from Kandara Constituency at his Karen residence in Nairobi today September 16, the second in command blamed ‘some politicians’ for poisoning his boss until he(Ruto) was sidelined in government.
He reasoned that Kenyatta is his boss and anytime he calls on him or wants to see him, he will be available.
“Yeye ni mdosi wangu, kuna watu wakora wamekuja hapo wakaweka fitina mpaka wakasema huyu deputy president awekwe kando lakini mimi niko ready without condition any moment kwa sababu tulichaguliwa pamoja na Wakenya na walitupatia majukumu ya kuendesha serikali ya Kenya pamoja,” said DP Ruto.
President Uhuru Kenyatta addressing.
He also seized the opportunity to warn that those keen on occupying his position should wait until 2022 when his term with Uhuru will come to an end.
“Wale wengine wenye wameleta fitina wangoje twende kwa uchaguzi. Huwezi kuja kudoea serikali haukuunda. Waende watafute vile tulienda kutafuta na watatukuta huko tukitafuta pia,” added the DP.
Ruto was speaking this with regard to a clarion call from members of the clergies who yesterday Wednesday called upon the two leaders to hold a truce so that the country could resume development.
The Kenya Conference of Catholic Bishop KCCB yesterday issued a statement decrying the increasing political temperatures in the country which they described as risky to both economy and prosperity.
