The move has elicited mixed reactions in the country with many questioning the reason behind such a move.
According to Ruto's allies, the move was part of the government's schemes to frustrate Ruto's 2022 ambitions.
A fresh twist has today however emerged after details have leaked on what Ruto's security officers did that led to them being kicked out of Ruto's residence.
As established by the Saturday Standard, the GSU officers who were guarding Ruto have been said to have been instructed not to allow any gatherings into DP Ruto's residency.
Ruto's meetings with delegates across the country has been said to have alerted the government which has ordered for the ban of all political gatherings.
For this reason, a call was made to Ruto's chief of staff requesting him not to allow any visitors into Ruto's mansion.
The officers however defied this directive and Ruto could still be seen receiving delegates at his home.
This is said to have angered the government leading to Ruto's security being replaced.
