Nyeri Town Member of Parliament Ngunjiri Wambugu has now break silence after President Uhuru Kenyatta was 'embarrassed' today in his backyard after mass walkout was witnessed.
Speaking after the event in Thika, the vocal Kieleweke MP has now accused Deputy President William Ruto's TangaTanga side of sponsoring the mass walkout of mourners as President Uhuru Kenyatta's speech was being read.
According to the lawmaker, the plan was highly coordinated after recruitment of over 200 people to stage manage the walkout.
He argued that this was done to prove that the President was losing popularity in his backyard.
''# Operation. Mobilize 200 people to attend a funeral, and then strategically ‘walk-out’ when the President’s speech is being read.# Objective . Prove that you are more popular than Uhuru in Mt Kenya.# Outcome . Look very foolish to those who know,''said Ngunjiri Wambugu.
The sentiments by Ngunjiri Wambugu comes after Deputy President William Ruto witnessed the crowd walking out as President's speech was being read.
