Speaking during another rally attended by DP William Ruto, the Mt Kenya Governor said that it's indeed sad and unfortunate that President Uhuru Kenyatta's allies such as David Murathe, Maina Kamanda, Raphael Tuju have continued to mislead the ODM Party Leader Hon Raila Odinga, ignoring the fact that the ground has already shifted. Also via a speech perceived as a direct indicator of what made the Governor break ties with President Uhuru Kenyatta's Jubilee Party, he has reported it can't and won't happen for a catholic Church to bring an Akorino pastor just because their bishop has retired. This he said to indicate that it's isn't making sense for the Jubilee Party to support Raila who wasn't there when they needed him.
In regards to Ruto's alleged mistake ahead of the upcoming 2022 general election, Governor Kahiga said that his (Ruto) decision to refuse endorsement and seek votes directly from the locals is one of the many things that caused bitterness in Uhuru's camp because they expected Ruto to follow the right protocols. Also, Governor Clakmed that Ruto's generosity act is also another thing that is causing sleepless nights in Raila and his allies.
