The Kenya Kwanza Alliance campaign team, led by the embattled former Nairobi County Governor Hon Mike Mbuvi Sonko, brought Mombasa County to a halt by engaging residents pending the county's gubernatorial election. The team campaigned for Hon. Hassan Omar, the UDA party's Gubernatorial candidate in the region.
The team temporarily halted traffic in the CBD as they wooed voters to consider the United Democratic Alliance Party candidate for county executive.
This comes just days after the IEBC commission postponed the elections in the remaining areas where voting did not take place indefinitely. He urged the residents to consider joining the government and to act quickly to secure their top leader who will benefit the region.
This is a huge boost for the UDA party aspirant, who is up against tough competition from Azimio's side. Abdulswamad Nasir is the worthy competitor to Hassan Omar and until now it's still unsure who will win.
