Azimio la Umoja warned that four dissident Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) commissioners would be removed from office, which could lead to a boycott of the 2027 General Election.
On Saturday, November 26, Makau Mutua, the spokesperson for the coalition, made the plan public.
It was alleged that vice chairperson Juliana Cherera and commissioners Justus Nyangaya, Irine Masit, and Francis Wanderi were attempting to overthrow the will of the people.
Mutua, on the other hand, reiterated that Ruto's plans to take control of IEBC before 2027 meant that the four people were there to settle scores.
"The UDA needs to be aware that the 2027 elections and any by-elections will not take place if the IEBC four are dismissed and replaced through a kangaroo process in Parliament or not."Permanently," Makau stated via his social media accounts.
Previously, it was reported that Raila was concerned about being influenced by Ruto's administration and that the 2027 General Election would be chaotic.
Azimio thought about calling for street protests to be held again to rein in the government.
Raila Odinga, the leader of Azimio, asked the four IEBC commissioners who disapproved of the results of the Presidential election on August 9 not to appear before the Justice and Legal Affairs Committee (JLAC).
Odinga referred to the difficulties as a government witch hunt.
"This investigation is motivated by politics; It is a continuation of Ruto's witch-hunting mission. In the interest of constitutionality and the rule of law, we advise the commissioners to boycott it," Odinga stated.
He lamented that the Ruto administration was eager to appoint people who would assist them in winning the elections in 2027 to replace the four commissioners.
However, Ruto's backers insisted that the four IEBC commissioners were allegedly involved in a failed coup.
Ruto also said that Raila was the only one to blame for the problems the country was having.
"The lords of impunity, who used the handshake fraud to destroy oversight institutions, should let Parliament hold corrupt officials who put the nation in danger by subverting the democratic will of the people to be held accountable.
On Friday, November 25, Ruto made a post on each of his social media platforms that read, "New order is the rule of law and not the wishes of big men."
