President William Ruto
President William Ruto is an embattled man just six months after he took over as the first in command. The opposition has been mounting pressure on him for failing to honour some of the campaign promises he made just before the election.
High cost of living has continued to bite across the country and this has put president Ruto and his government in a difficult situation, where many feel he is not doing enough to address the issue. The Azimio side has already issued a 14 days ultimatum for the matter to be addressed failure to which they will launch mass action.
Another group led by comedian Eric Omondi has planned a march to State House on March 7th over the same issue of high cost of living.
Amidst all these crisis, a survey conducted by Infotrak has established that more than half of Kenyans feel that the country is headed on the wrong direction. The survey shows that 62% of Kenyans feel that the country is going in the wrong direction, while 22% feel otherwise.
While Ruto has been associated closely with religion, the Infotrak survey shows that only 5% of Kenyans feel that Ruto is a God fearing president. The research has also ranked Kithure Kindiki as the best performing cabinet secretary.
