Deputy President William Ruto's linked party United Democratic Alliance is really overworking in the run up to the By-elections in Bonchari Constituency. Its flagbearer Mama Teresa Bitutu was today morning in Suneka Ward where she made a stop over to have a chat with the residents who are majorly tea growers. She promised them to make tea benefit them more if elected to represent them in parliament.
The By-election came about after the area legislator pass away after a long illness. He had been admitted to Agha Khan Hospital where he peacefully passed away. Before his demise, he had been an ally of Deputy President William Ruto and that is why the Dr Ruto attended his funeral and promise the residents that the incoming leader will continue with the development agenda Oroo Oyioka had started.
The race has attracted a number of candidates among them Jubilee and Raila's party ODM. The newly formed party has given the parties which have been in the field for a long time a run for their money. In Msambweni By-election, an independent candidate who had the support of the Deputy President embarrassed the entire ODM party who had the support of Uhuru Kenyatta.
