As early presidential election results started to pour in from all around the nation, it became clear that William Ruto and Raila Odinga were in a tight contest.
With a combined vote total of less than 0.5%, George Wajackoyah and David Waihiga fell considerably behind the two leading candidates, who were still trading the lead at little over 50%.
The results show that Mr. Odinga won in his strongholds in the Nyanza region, the lower eastern region, and the coast, while Dr. Ruto's United Democratic Alliance ticket won in his strongholds in the Rift Valley and in the populated area surrounding Mount Kenya. The election was decided by whoever candidate could persuade the most individuals who were undecided about their vote due to an all-time low voter turnout.Reactions;
