Top government lawmakers and politicians have already started putting their houses in order in preparation of the beckoning 2022 general elections that slated to take place on 9th August 2022.
Yesterday, Kirinyaga county governor Hon. Anne Waiguru hinted that she will join United Democratic Alliance (UDA) party to defend for her political seat. UDA is a political party that is closely associated with Dr William Ruto who has already declared his presidential bid.
Hours after the Kirinyaga boss announced joining UDA, Kirinyaga women representative Hon. Wangui Ngirici has welcomed Waiguru in the party and she has told her to prepare for a contest for UDA parry's ticket.
In summary, Hon. Ngirici has already declared that she will vie for the Kirinyaga's gubernatorial seat come August next year. Hon. Ngirici has been a close ally of the deputy president Dr William Ruto since 2017 after the general elections and she's perceived to be the potential UDA's flagbearer in the gubernatorial race.
