By Election Updates From Juja, Bonchari And Rurii Ward

The political heavyweights meet again at the Bonchari by-electiontoday as each party aims for a win for their candidates.

The by-election is seen as a three horse-race between the ODM candidate Paul Oimeke, Jubilee’s Zebedeo Opore and UDA’s Teresia Bitutu who is the widow to the late former MP John Oyioka.

Police officers have raided ODM Secretary-General, Edwin Sifuna's hotel, in Kisii County a few minutes before the voting process at the Bonchari by-elections commence.

Low voter turnout witnessed in Bonchari, Kisii County as the Parliamentary by-election kicks off, IEBC says.

The entire Kisii County Police and Vigilante house occupants arrived all in Kisii . One cannot fail to read sinister, evil machinations in the Bonchari by-elections. One Woman Mama Teresa Oroo attracts the whole Police Service led by Fred Matiang’i.

Unless some miracles happen like that of Sharon Achieng, the Bonchari seat remains an ODM property. The state is using police to intimidate voters but the mood is just exciting. Opore, the preferred candidate of Matiang'i, will lose to Eng. Pavel Oimeke of ODM.
