President William Ruto has expressed regret to attorney Miguna Miguna about his 2018 deportation to Canada, according to lawyer Miguna Miguna.
He stated, "Earlier this morning, President William Ruto, the President of the Republic of Kenya and Commander in Chief of the Defence Forces, apologized to me on his behalf and on behalf of the Government for the violence imposed upon me by the former administration.
Miguna said in a Facebook post that he had been "dragged, drugged, and forcefully flown to Dubai."
After being deported once previously in February, he was hauled to Canada a second time before being brought back.
I acknowledge the apology.
The apology, according to former IEBC Commissioner Roselyn Akombe, was long overdue, and no Kenyan should ever experience similar treatment.
"Though long delayed, it's wonderful that it finally happened. No human being ever should experience what Daktari Miguna Miguna did "She spoke.
Miguna was pushed into exile in March 2018 and prevented from entering after the Jubilee government issued red alerts against him, making it hard for him to travel.
He wasn't able to fly back to Kenya until October 2022, when Ruto's directive to the Kwanza administration in Kenya made it possible.
The attorney and the Jubilee administration were at odds because of his participation in the informal swearing-in of ODM leader Raila Odinga.
"On October 20 at 6 a.m., I arrived. Rule of law, bravery, tenacity, and concentration have won out "He concurred.
President should apologize to Miguna for his deportation by the Jubilee administration, in which he served as Deputy President, according to Narc Kenya leader Martha Karua in 2022.
What transpired, according to Karua, was a terrible error and an atrocity committed by the Kenyan government, of which the present President was a content Deputy President at the time.
He cannot separate himself from that behavior, she said.
