Former Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang'i was reportedly detained for over five hours at the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) Headquarters - his lawyer alleged.
In a statement seen by this reporter, Rarieda Member of Parliament Otiende Amollo, argued that the former CS was only interrogated for 15 minutes after he arrived at 8:00 am on Tuesday, March 7.
According to Otiende Omollo, The move seems to be a political witch hunt where their rivals are now settling political scores.
Previously, the president William Ruto and his deputy Rigathi Gachagua accused Dr Fred Matiang'i of having been used by the previous regime to oppress them.
At one point, Riggy G accused Matiang'i o having sent DCI cops to his residence where they Stripped him naked in front of his kids.
Matiang'i previously alleged that some cops from the DCI had raided his home in Karen for a reason yet to be established.
