NCBA has made it clear that the latest announcement only affects those who had previously borrowed from Mshwari and Fuliza but defaulted. The president has been pushing banks to delist borrowers from CRB so that they can focus on business activities.
According to NCBA, the latest announcement is in line with President William Ruto's efforts to stabilize the country. It's expected that impunity under default will not be tolerated by most banks going into the future.
The president has urged the banks to adopt a strategy where Kenyans can be made to pay loans without going to the extent of listing people to CRB. As always, Kenyans are waiting to know of what unfolds for it's a fact that we live in interesting times.
