Many Kenyans and leaders have come out to congratulate Ruto's victory. Of recent, he has been the party leader of Maendeleo chap chap party Dr. Alfred Mutua who has praised the moderators who took part in the presidential debate of Ruto which was on Tuesday, July 26, 2022 at the Catholic University for Eastern Africa (CUEA) situated in Karen, Nairobi.
The moderators who interviewed Ruto were Citizen TV’s Yvonne Okwara and Eric Latiff of Spice FM and KTN News.
Mutua has invited the moderators for a cup of tea for the good work done.
Taking to his official Twitter handle account, Mutua said,
"I wish to personally thank @YvonneOkwara & @EricLatiff for our victory. The tough questions you asked @WilliamsRuto enabled him to explain himself & destroy the lies people had told about him. The grilling showed that Ruto is up to the task and has a plan. I owe you guys a drink." Mutual said.
