The political season is finally here with us as leaders from different regions continue to move around looking for like-minded individuals to partner with ahead of the highly anticipated 2022 general elections.
Recent focus has been on One Kenya Alliance Principals after the latest move by Anc leader Musalia Mudavadi who joined Ruto's camp in recent days. The move has left the likes of Gideon Moi and Kalonzo Musyoka stranded with reports linking the two with a move to Raila's Azimio la Umoja Coalition party.
Earlier today Chuka MP Patrick Munene took to a rally to advise the Wiper Party leader on what the future holds for him. Speaking during a rally in Nakuru, Munene alleged that the best in store for him is to become the official opposition leader after Raila Odinga is Defeated and retired.
According to Munene, the 2022 Presidential Elections will make him retire once he loses badly. Munene noted that it will be Kalonzo who will be next in line to take over from Raila as the Official Opposition leader. There have been reports that MPs could look to amend the Constitution and have the official opposition leader sit in Parliament as a nominated Mp.
In a slight dig at Raila, Munene said that he will not be surprised if Raila refuses to retire and Denies Kalonzo the opportunity to be the official opposition leader.
Meanwhile, share with us your thoughts on the matter kindly.
