For the last few months, many politicians have been defecting from one party to the other. Many of them are in a race to move to other parties, form strong coalitions, recruit strong allies and other things that may strengthen them ahead of the 2022 general election with new parties like Ruto's linked UDA leading the line in recruiting new members.
Today, all those politicians that have been moving from one camp to another like Rigathi Gachagua, Anne Waiguru, Moses Kuria, Alice Wahome, Gathoni Wamuchomba, Cate Waruguru and others have been told by Raila Odinga's ally Mohamed Wehliye to do so in silence because they are doing that for their own interests and not for the interests of the people.
"Every politician will from now go to the party that is popular in their area & which will propel them to the office they are seeking. Lakini as you align yourself with your interests, don't lie to us that you are doing it for other reasons. Just go quietly! Kenya hakuna wajinga!" Tweeted Mohamed Wehliye.
