The forthcoming General Election is seen as one of the most expensive elections that Kenya will ever witness.

This follows the huge campaign budgets that political parties have put in place to help them campaign competitively with the rest.

As indicated by information from the Kenya Civil Aviation Authority (KCAA), which enrolls new choppers in the country, there has been an upsurge in new chopper enlistments as Kenya moves toward the 2022 general political race.

Which politicians own choppers in Kenya?

According to the Standard,Deputy President William Ruto, ODM leader Raila Odinga, Amani National Congress leader Musalia Mudavadi, and Baringo Senator Gideon Moi are among politicians who own and frequently use choppers.

In cases of hiring a chopper be ready for this:

Fuel consumption Flying a chopper is expensive. For example, if flown for one hour, it consumes KSh 30,000 worth of fuel.

Parking Wilson Airport in Nairobi charges KSh 10,000 for parking overnight
