Baringo Senator Hon Gideon Moi.
The Baringo senator Hon Gideon Moi caused a spur online after he took a statement to his twitter account commenting on the massive support that Bomet members of county assembly gave to the building bridges initiative, when they joined other counties to pass the bill. Courtesy of what was termed to be a super Tuesday, the Rift valley county was announced as the 34th county to have voted 'yes' for the amendment bill.
The KANU party leader took a comment to twitter thanking all the MCAs in Bomet for passing the bill. Being a county in the rift valley, a region known to be the deputy president Dr William Ruto's bedroom, Bomet was expected to be among the counties that would stand against the bill.
Kenyans however trolled Gideon Moi for what they termed as lack of influence. According to most of them, the senator had no influence in the Rift valley votes since his own county voted 'No' for the bill, being the first county to do so. Renowned blogger Robert Alai was among the kenyans who deemed Moi as a useless politician who can only depend on endorsement.
"He wants endorsement but he couldn’t manage Baringo. Useless!!" the blogger posted.
Another kenyanon twitter commented, "Mr senator!! Charity begins at home, your very own Baringo could not listen to you, why do you think Bomet would?"
