Evidence is mounting that former Turkana Governor and staunch William Ruto supporter Hon. Josphat Nanok was replaced as Statehouse Comptroller only days after being appointed to the position.

Nation claims that Hon. Kato Ole Metito has taken his place as Deputy Chief of Staff. He will replace the Hon. Felix Koskei, a seasoned politician who served as a minister, as his deputy.

Some Kenyans see this as an early sign of betrayal on the part of President William Ruto's administration. They feel that Hon. Nanok's promotion to the position of deputy is too low, given his efforts during the Campaigns.
Others, however, claim that Nanok asked to be demoted because of his health. They demand that critics of President William Ruto's decision to appoint a new Deputy President stop attacking him.
