
George Natembeya, the Rift Valley Regional Commissioner, sometimes back resigned to focus on his political campaign. He has send a message to the people of Trans NZoia saying he is the best person to take over the governorship.
In this year's general election, Natembeya, who has served as Rift Valley Commissioner for the past two and a half years, is aiming to defeat Trans Nzoia Governor Patrick Khaemba.
Talking to JKL he said "Trans Nzoia is going to be very lucky to have me as a governor… We are going to form a government that is the face of Kenya, I’m going to do marvelous things"

Speaking sometimes back Natembeya said "I'm giving up my police uniform and responsibilities.Unless there are extraordinary circumstances, I won't be seen in it*.
Natembeya says he would now recuperate and prepare for the August 9 General Election by wooing Trans Nzoia inhabitants.
