"Tokeni Hapa" Crowd Celebrates as Security Officers Are Chased From Raila's Dias in Migori

Just one day after calling their supporters for mass action following the lapse of 14 days ultimatum, Azimio troops have invaded Migori county for a mega rally. The leaders have gone to mobilize their support base against president Ruto's government which they have termed as illegitimate.

Among the leaders who have accompanied Raila Odinga for the rally include; Kalonzo Musyoka, Martha Karua, Wycliffe Oparanya, Anyang Nyong'o, Junet Mohamed, Babu Owino and other influential leaders.

Just before the event started, a number of security officers who had crowded the main dias were chased away after the crowd complained. The residents were complaining that they were not able to see Baba due to the high number of people who were standing in front of him.

The member of parliament who was in charge of protocol was left with no option other than to chase the security officers. He ordered them to move away from the main dias so that people could enjoy a clear view of Raila without getting blocked.

"All the security officers who are standing here please go away. Tokeni hapa, the people want to see Baba. You can't just stand here and block people. Move away, we want to start this event," noted the MC. (Watch video from 22:40 min to 24 min).

After this order, the security officers left the podium and the crowd bursted into celebrations. The people went on to chant in praise of the Azimio leader, Raila Odinga.
