Monica Juma the cabinet secretary in charge of defense has received President Uhuru Kenyatta and other military dignitaries in Lamu for an event that is expected to be presided over by the head of state. President Uhuru Kenyatta touched down dressed in full military regalia symbolizing his authority.
Today’s event in Lamu is that of Regimental color regalia which is an annual event that is always done by the military. The event is taking place at the Kenya Navy base which is based in Lamu County which is in the coastal town.
So far leaders present included General Kibochi who is head of the military in the country. President Kenyatta is also expected to issue new directives in the said meeting which is one of its kind in the country. The military has continued to stand out in recent days in their service delivery of the nation.
