Details Emerge On Why Nyanza Regional Commissioner Skipped Ruto's Homa Bay Event

It is finally becoming clearer why so few elected officials from Homa Bay County showed out for President William Ruto's ceremony there on Sunday.

Gladys Wanga, the regional governor, and Peter Kaluma, a member of parliament from Homa Bay, were both listed as absent and provided explanations.

Yet another person who would never miss such events was Nyanza Regional Commissioner Magu Mutindika.

But he excused himself, saying he couldn't use it because he was away, so he sent his deputy to speak in his place.

It now appears that those who missed out did so for a reason. According to sources, the event was planned to take place on a Saturday night, which obviously didn't give the leaders enough time to plan their attendance.

Wanga said that Kaluma did not invite him and was not present, and that she just learned about the occasion a few hours prior to the event after she had already made her own plans.

Moses Kaiwang, the senator for the area, claimed he was not included and charged him with boycotting or purposefully declining to go to the gathering.
