Ruto's 1000-Acre Farm In Taveta That Got Junet Talking While On A Campaign Tour In The County.

Deputy president William Ruto is a man of means after investing on varous sectors like agriculture among others.

The DP's multi-million farm in Taita Taveta was today a topic of discussion when ODM brigade landed in Taita Taveta to market Azimio la umoja.

While addressing the residents, Suna east member of Parliament Junet Mohamed accused Ruto of grabbing the land.

On that account, Junet asked the residents not to elect him as president in the coming general election.

Now, did Ruto grab the land as Junet Alleged?

According to the Standard, Ruto acquired the property from a former member of Parliament Basil Criticos who migrated out of the country.

After acquiring it, Ruto set up a farm where he rears varous types of livestock for commercial purposes.

The farm is located in Mata ward 27 km from Taita town on Taveta- Jibe road and it borders lake Jibe to the South.

Around it is an electric fence meant to ward away squatters who are a prennial challenge to ranch owners.

Nevertheless, Ruto at some time found himself at a collision Course with county government and locals after they accused him of diverting water into the farm living them thirsty.
