The political muscles continue being a concern among Kenyans and 2022 general elections creating interests. President Uhuru Kenyatta has been the best president and section of Kenyans wanted him to extend his term. With 2022 general elections approaching with speed, President Uhuru Kenyatta suffered a major setback.
Raila's close allies Ledama Olekina and Opiyo Wandayi have warned Kenyans from attacking President Uhuru Kenyatta. According to them, President Uhuru Kenyatta is just a beneficiary of offshore accounts.
Ledama Olekina said, "Uhuru on Pandora Papers: “I think we have to differentiate between being a beneficiary and being the person who has been able to acquire that wealth…”
Opiyo Wandayi added that, "Uhuru on Pandora Papers: “The problem we have in this country is that we want to politicize everything, the moment you start politicizing this issue then you lose the point. In a capitalist society such as ours it is not wrong for one to aspire to grow his/her wealth portfolio… if you want to deal with corruption you don’t deal with it at the tail end, you deal with it at the source” - Opiyo Wandayi, MP Ugunja.
