Azimio La Umoja Announces Major Step To Take after Speaker Wetangula Rules On Majority Stalemate.

National Assembly speaker Moses Wetangula faces major setback hours after making ruling in parliament. Today, the National Assembly made a ruling where the Kenya Kwanza alliance coalition was given the majority seat slot in his ruling.

The speaker in his ruling said that the Azimio La Umoja One Kenya alliance coalition party has no member elected to parliament. In his ruling Wetangula added that following the decision by the Pamoja Africa Alliance (PAA), Chama Cha Kazi (CCK) members and those of the United Democratic Movement to join Kenya Kwanza,

The Kenya Kwanza alliance coalition is now having 179 elected members of parliament while the Azimio La Umoja One Kenya having 157 elected members. This therefore renders the Kenya Kwanza majority slot while that of the Azimio Minority slot.

This has forced the KANU Women Congress to issue a statement saying that the speaker has made his ruling but they will be heading to court.

"Kenya Kwanza principal and NA speaker Moses Wetangula has made his ruling, but the good thing is that he is not above the law. Azimio will be moving court," reads part of the statement.
