Kenyans have taken to social media accounts to express their fears and concerns after the recent developments where it has been reported that Governor Kiraitu Murungi has contracted Covid-19 virus.
According to the reports given by CITIZEN tv, it has been reported that the governor confirmed that he had tested positive Covid-19 after receiving results from the hospital that he had gone to in order to find observe his current health condition.
However, this news has come as a surprise to alot of Kenyans, this is due to the fact that the governor is reported to have received the Astra-Zeneca jab which is commonly referred to as Covid-19 Vaccine before this news came.
This has sparked alot of mixed reactions from Kenyans who seemed to have different opinions and suggestions on why the governor had tested positive of Covid-19 despite the fact that he had received the Astra-Zeneca vaccine.
With a section of Kenyans claiming that maybe the vaccine wasn't working, others went ahead and set things straight by claiming that the vaccine is only used to prevent and not treat someone who has already been infected.
Keziah Kerubo - To us who are wondering why the governor has contracted Covid-19 virus, well I'd like to let you know that the Astra-Zeneca vaccine is only used to prevent Covid-19 and not cure it and so due to this reason, the governor received it despite the fact that he got the jab because je was already infected.
