Mutula Kilonzo is the Governor of Makueni County. He is one of the vocal governors recently elected to the position in the last year General election. Today, the Governor took action to investigate the situation of the ecosystem in Chyulu game Park which is the source of several rivers in the region.

According to a post shared by Makueni County government, the Governor sent a flying team/squad team to do a damage assessment of Chyulu Park, the Makueni water tower. The move is on a path to seeking recoveries to restore the injured ecosystem. According to the photos shared by the team, Several cattle were spotted at the grazing in the park which is against the law. Pastoralist had even created cow sheds inside the park. The Governor is now seeking attention of the Kenya Wildlife Service to take action of the illegal human aggression in the park thus damaging the ecosystem. 


They said that Chyulu Park is the source of river Thange, Kiambu, Umami, Mzima springs and Mtito-andei.
