It is now less than a year before the official general election date that has been set on 9th August 2022. Though the official campaign date set by the independent electoral and boundaries commission on 30th May 2022 to August 6th 2022 is not yet with us, there are myriad of political actitivities that are ongoing as politicians continue to drum up support for themselves and their preferred presidential candidates.
In the presidential race, Deputy president William Ruto has been on active campaigns since 2017 with Baba Raila Odinga expected in the race too others interested are the One Kenya Alliance chiefs and others.
Nandi senator Samson Cherargei has come out to reveal that their main competitor is ODM boss Baba Raila Odinga, he has dismissed the other OKA members as flower girls and page boys saying that the real contest will be between the two and the others are just entertainers, the senator has revealed that Raila is welcome to the region to sell his agenda but they are already behind William Ruto.
