It has been reported that a KIEMs kit has gone missing from Uran Primary School in the Moyale Constituency of Marsabit County.
Wafula Chebukati, the chair of the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC), made the announcement this evening.
"The loss was discovered when the KIEMs Kits were being checked prior to being deployed to the polling stations. The Kits were used in tommorow's election," Chebukati said.
After reporting the event at the Moyale police station, Chebukati stated that the investigation to find the kit is still ongoing.
He went on to say that nobody will be able to make use of the stolen equipment now that it has been replaced and blacklisted.
The statement continued by saying, "Any action or data that may have originated from the lost Kit will be reported and segregated from our system."

"The Kit will be of no use to anyone at any time," he added.
